  1. Who ever said ice cream men were not artists? It's tricky stuff this self reflection. What is it you really want to do is what half of the year are thinking about. Always remember being lost in making is when most artists realise that this is what they went into the business for. Henry Moore famously said he refused to think about why he did anything because it might stop him working. The Craftsman by Richard Sennett is a good read, it points out that doing something well for its own sake can be the only thing needed to justify something.
